主要利用生态模型、土地利用模拟、遥感和地理信息系统等技术，从区域和城市尺度开展土地利用变化及生态环境效应、生态系统服务同人类活动关系的研究工作。目前主要开展流域和城乡区域生态系统服务时空格局、供需关系、以及服务间关联的研究。发表论文30余篇。
