Environmental pollutants and the applied nano-control technology

Group Leader: Su Guijin Laboratory: Department of Environmental Nano-materials

The research group is dedicated to the fundamental and applied research, which combines pollutants and environmental nanotechnology. Based on the actual environmental pollution problems, the group focuses on analyzing the contamination status, formation and transformation process of pollutants, impact mechanism, and tracing pollution source and simulating source-sink relationship, including typical and new-type persistent organic pollutants (POPs), volatile organic pollutants (VOCs), NOx, O3, SO2, heavy metals and so on. In addition, the group engages in constructing functional nanomaterials. The molding technology of nanomaterials aiming to the industrial application also play an important role in the research. Besides, the development of key control technologies and the removal of a variety of pollutants synergistically from fixed sources such as the industrial proccess and containated soil, are also a significant part of the study. In general, these work benefits to achieving an environment friendly green production process. Combined with advanced micro-interface characterization technology, the nano-technology control mechanism of pollutants is explored in the study. It provides scientific basis and significant technical support for the effective disposal of pollutants and risk management. The research group has Agilent 7890A GC-7000A MS/MS (triple series quadrupole system), Agilent 7890A GC and Varian FT-IR (Excalibur 3100) and other large instruments. The research group has undertaken a number of national scientific research projects, such as the National Key R&D Plan, National Natural Science Foundation of China, National High-Tech Research and Development Program (863), National Key Research and Development Program and Outstanding Member Project of Youth Innovation Promotion Association of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Up to now, she has published 80 papers in the peer reviewed journals, and 10 pieces of national patents have been authorized.
