Education and Appointments:

Dr. Xiaoqiang An graduated from the Department of Fire Engineering of Chinese People's Armed Police Force Academy in 2003. He obtained his PhD degree from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2008. After that, he conducted his post-doctoral research at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and University College London, in the period of 2011-2014. Currently, he is an associate professor in the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Aquatic Chemistry.

Dr An's research interest includes: (1) Novel environmental purification materials for advanced oxidation; (2) Control of the surface-interface of photoelectrocatalytic materials; (3) The utilization of sustainable energy during water treatment. He has attained achievements in the design of photoelectrocatalytic materials for pollutant degradation and new energy production. Dr. An has published 28 papers in peer reviewed journals, including Advanced Energy Material, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, ChemSusChem et al. The total citation frequency is more than 700 times.
