Education and Appointments:
Dr. Yu-Rong Liu earned his PhD (Soil ecology) from Research Center for Eco-Environments, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010. He worked in Western University as a visiting scholar from March 2014 to December 2014, andalso worked in the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) of US as a visiting scholar from March 2015 to March 2016. He is interested in the interaction of microbes and pollutants (e.g. Hg microbial transformation) as well as ecosystem multifucntionality driven by microbial communities. He has published more than 20 papers on the international journals.

Research Interest:
Microbial transformation and remediation of pollutants in soils
