Education and Appointments: |
1985-1988 M. Sc., Lanzhou University 1998-2000 Associate Professor, China Agricultural University 2000-2003 Ph. D., Research Center for Eco-Environmental Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences 2003-2004 Associate Professor, Research Center for Eco-Environmental Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences 2005-present Professor, Research Center for Eco-Environmental Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences Dr. Cai’s main research interests focus on the chromatographic analysis and environmental behavior of environmental pollutants, especially some important emerging environmental pollutants such as perfluorochemicals, perchlorate, drinking water disinfection by-products, pharmaceuticals and personal care products. His current studies include aspects as follows: (1) to develop novel and efficient sample pretreatment method and chromatographic analytical method for above-mentioned contaminants; (2) to investigate the environmental occurrence, transport, transformation and fate of emerging environmental pollutants; (3) to prepare novel composite nanosized materials for the extraction and removal of contaminants. The main goal is to study and resolve environmental problems using advanced analytical method and nanomaterial technology. |
